"Erica is fantastic to work with, both creatively and professionally. She delivers to our brief each and every time, bringing our brand to life."

Sophie Wood
Marketing Manager - Sprout Agribusiness

What's different about agribusiness briefs.

Voice matters more than visuals. Ag brands that try too hard with the visuals lose credibility with their actual customers — growers, supply-chain partners, ag-focused investors. The design has to be confident without being showy, and the typography matters as much as the imagery. The studio's been calibrating this balance for two decades.

Long sales cycles, long content cycles. A new variety of seed takes years to bring to market. A new processing facility takes a decade from concept to production. The marketing collateral has to age well — branded systems that look as right in year five as they did in year one. Erica designs for that horizon.

Customers who notice when something is off.
Ag-sector readers spot manufactured "rural authenticity" instantly. The studio has avoided this by working with real ag clients on real briefs for 20+ years — Sprout, Radicle and others — so the work reads as someone who's been in the room with growers, not someone who Googled "country font."

Print still matters. Ag-sector trade shows, farmgate sales, supplier folders, and technical brochures. Print management coordinated with Brisbane print partners; PDFs with embedded fonts and crop marks delivered for every print job.

What working with Erica Miller Design looks like.

Ag briefs often come in with a draft idea and not much else — a growers' co-op thinking about repositioning, an exporter who knows they need an annual report but isn't sure what should be in it, a producer launching a new product brand. The 15-minute discovery call is built for that — bring whatever you have (a paragraph, a logo file, a draft Word doc) and you'll have an indicative price and a fixed delivery date in your inbox the same day.

From there, the four-stage process — Discovery, Development, Refinement, Implementation — runs the same way every time. Real designed pages, not mood boards. Two structured rounds of refinement. Press-ready and digital-ready files at the end. Same designer the whole way through.

A four-stage process.
No surprises, no agency baton-pass.

01
Discovery
WEEK 1

A 15-minute discovery call. You bring the brief, the deadline, and any existing brand assets.

An NDA is signed first if your material is market-sensitive.

By the end of the day, you have an indicative price and a fixed delivery date in your inbox.

02
Development
WEEKS 1-2

First-pass concept lands as a real, designed sample spread, plus the typographic system the rest of the document will follow.

03
Refinement
WEEKS 2-3

Two structured rounds of feedback in a single shared file.

Tracked changes, no version-control chaos.

You email Erica directly. She emails you back directly.

04
Implementation
WEEK 3+

Press-ready and digital-ready files. PDF with embedded fonts and crop marks for print, RGB-optimised PDF for screen and email, social and email tile exports where requested.

Print management coordinated with Brisbane print partners if needed.

Have a brief in mind? The 15-minute scoping call returns a fixed price the same day.

FAQ's

How does your design process work?

Four stages: Discovery, Development, Refinement, Implementation.

Discovery starts with a 15-minute discovery call and a written brief sign-off, so both sides know exactly what's being made and why.

Development produces a real first-pass concept — sample spreads or designed pages, not mood boards.

Refinement runs two structured rounds of feedback in a single shared file. No version-control chaos.

Implementation delivers press-ready and digital-ready files, plus ongoing tweaks within the engagement window.

The point of contact is always Erica — same designer at the discovery call, the concept review, and the press-ready hand-off. No agency baton-pass, no project manager translating between client and creative.

Most projects begin within the same week as the scoping call.

Do you work with clients across Australia?

Yes. The studio is Brisbane-based and works with clients in every Australian capital and across regional areas of Australia, with selected projects in New Zealand, the UK and the US.

Recent agribusiness clients include Sprout Agribusiness, Towonga Merino and Poll Merino Stud, Radicle Ag, Radicle Seeds, McRae Ag Solutions, Hoadley Chickens and Longreach Pastoral — every project ran end-to-end remotely, with print and production managed wherever the client is based.

Can you work with our existing branding or content?

Yes. Most agribusiness projects start inside an existing brand. Erica works directly from your style guide, master files, or whatever assets exist (even if it's just a logo and a colour reference).

Where the brand could be lifted alongside the project, that can happen in the same engagement rather than as a separate rebrand. No need to choose between "use what we have" and "start from scratch" before the call.

Do you also handle the brand identity, not just the document?

Yes. Where a brand could be lifted alongside the project, that can happen in the same engagement rather than as a separate rebrand.

Do you help with content, or just the design?

Design is the core of the work, and that includes shaping how content reads on the page — structure, hierarchy, emphasis, white-space. The way information is arranged is half the design.

Where copy needs to be written rather than refined, Erica brings in trusted Brisbane and Sydney copywriters who already know the studio's process and quality bar. You do not need finished copy to start the project — bring what you have to the scoping call, and the rest is mapped from there.

What do you need to get started?

Less than most clients expect. Three things, ideally:
— A rough brief, even a paragraph describing what's being produced and why.
— Any existing brand assets — logo, fonts, style guide, whatever is to hand.
— The deadline.

Content, imagery and proof points can arrive as the project develops. The 15-minute scoping call confirms exactly what's needed before the brief is signed off.

How does pricing work?

Every project is scoped to your request, your audience, and your deadline.

The 15-minute discovery call covers all of those, and an indicative price lands in your inbox the same day.

Have you handled annual reports for listed agribusiness or grower co-ops?

Yes. Annual report and stakeholder document work for agribusiness clients across both listed and unlisted structures.

Can you produce product packaging alongside corporate brand work?

Yes. Where a producer launches a new line, the studio can deliver brand identity, packaging, sales collateral and digital assets from a single brief.

Do you understand the technical content in ag-sector documents — varieties, supply chain, residues?

Yes. 20+ years across mining, energy, agribusiness and government means the studio is comfortable with technical density. Designs hold up to scrutiny from agronomists, processing managers and supply-chain teams — not just marketing managers.

Can you produce both digital and print sales collateral from a single project?

Yes. Most property projects need a hierarchy of collateral — the long-form IM or scheme book, brochures, flyers, large-format signage, display panels, and web banners. Designed together so the brand holds across the whole sales journey, not assembled piecemeal.

Can the brand identity hold across long sales cycles and product launches over multiple years?

Yes. Brand systems are designed to age — typography and colour decisions made with multi-year application in mind, plus full brand guidelines documenting how the system holds together as new sub-brands and product brands enter.

What about confidentiality on commercial-in-confidence ag briefs?

Same standard as every brief — NDAs signed before the scoping call when needed, files stored on Australian infrastructure, never reused without written permission, never fed into external AI training tools.
